Overview
Samarkand is only two and a quarter hours from Tashkent on the Afrosiyob high-speed train, so a long day is enough to see its great Timurid monuments.
We book the train tickets, collect you from your Tashkent hotel before dawn, and a guide and private car meet you on the platform in Samarkand. Lunch is included, and the evening train brings you back to Tashkent.
Your trip is planned and run by Khikmatilla, a licensed Uzbek tour guide and founder of Tashkentguide DMC, with licensed local guides in every city.

Morning · Tashkent – Samarkand
Pickup from your hotel in Tashkent and transfer to the station for the Afrosiyob train (06:30–08:48). Your guide meets you on the platform.

Day · Samarkand sightseeing
Gur-e-Amir, resting place of Amir Timur; the Registan with its three madrasahs; the giant Bibi-Khanym mosque and the Siab bazaar; the blue-tiled avenue of Shah-i-Zinda and the observatory of Ulugbek. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Evening · Return to Tashkent
Afrosiyob train back to Tashkent (18:10–20:31) and transfer to your hotel.
